This is the first post in a series, "Meet My Favorites," where I get to introduce you all to some of the most special people in my life. They are each pretty important to me and mean a lot to most everyone they know, so I am excited to share a little bit about them with you!
In honor of Mother's Day being a couple of days ago, I thought I would start with some of the spectacular women in my life. One of the most important ones is, of course, my very own mother.
Her real name is Melissa, but to me, she's Momma. She has plenty of space in her heart and around her table for all seven of us, plus my boys (and Nick and Chelsea). She taught me how to make the best out of everything and how to bake press cookies, and she taught me what unconditional love really means. She has taught me to be a mother. She is the best Mimi to Max and Drew, and she handles even the most difficult moments of motherhood and life in general with grace. She's loved my Daddy for 31 and a half years, and they have set the bar high for the rest of us when it comes to marriage. She has a heart for adoption and is supportive and encouraging to every single person that she knows. She loves Jesus, dark chocolate, strong coffee, color on the walls and white for her shirts, good books, Dave Matthews and date nights.
We all love you, Momma, "this big," to the moon and back!
