These boys of mine have been such good buddies lately. Drew has decided he really does like Max, and Max has realized that if he shares his toys then things are pretty great with a little brother. They have become inseparable.
They choose to play together. Max brings Drew a few trains, shows him how to link them up, and they will play together for a long time. Drew looks for Max every morning when he wakes up. I told Max to go to the living room earlier today when Drew was in the kitchen, and Max said no, that he wanted to be with his brother. When Max goes to time out, Drew sneaks food and toys to him to help make it more tolerable.
Max has really stepped into that big brother role now, and I love it so much. He really watches out for his baby brother. He helps him up the ladder to the slide and puts food on his tray at meal times. He is constantly telling us what Drew needs or wants, and he is almost always right! He talks to him sweetly and brings Drew toys when he is upset...it melts my heart.
I'm so thankful that I get to watch their friendship grow, and I just pray that they will always love each other and value their relationship as brothers. I am glad they have each other.
