We went on a sweet little family vacation a few weeks ago and mostly we spent it doing absolutely nothing in the beautiful North Carolina mountains. It was perfection. I spent hours on our deck drinking coffee, slowly, sitting under blankets with the boys and not looking at the time. We swam at the indoor pool, drove the curvy back roads dreaming of living in the high country, and spent hours playing at parks anywhere we could find one. Oh, and of course we made two trips to Tweetsie! We came back reluctantly of course, but also, rested and ready to tackle real life.
Patio tables, eating dinner in cool mountain air? Yes please.
The boys shared a bed for the first time on this trip, and I basically died every time I walked in and saw them like this ^
We went to some of our favorite restaurants in Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk while we were there, so of course we had to go to Woodlands. It was a hit. The musician came and talked to Max and Drew, and when he walked away, Max said, "Mommy that cowboy was REALLY nice! He didn't even shoot me!" Can you tell we spend a lot of time at Tweetsie?
More vacation photos to come soon!
